Programmer/Developer

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and executing all aspects of the company’s technology strategies. The successful candidate must be able to take direction and work independently. Strong web-based support and development experience, along with hands-on database experience is required. This position involves helping design, create, and maintain the company’s corporate website as well as the company’s core product website. This position requires creative and efficient thinking to deliver quick and accurate implementations and results. This position touches on all aspects of the product life-cycle, from assisting in the planning phases, designing in the beta phases, and finally implementing in the presentation phase. The candidate will be involved in modifying user interfaces, designing and implementing new web pages for the purposes of data collection, and working with databases to analyze data and automate the reporting and presentation process. This will be a fast paced position with a great opportunity to gain lot of real-world experience and expand the candidate’s skillset under direct supervision of the Director of IT.
Responsibilities and Duties
- To design and develop websites ensuring strong optimization and functionality
- Code web pages utilizing CSS and XHTML and programming languages including JavaScript, SQL and JSP and combinations of languages for instance AJAX.
- Interact with servers using SSH, FTP and Telnet protocols.
- Work with various database systems including SQL Server and MS Access
- Analyze, review and modify web systems by designing, maintaining, documenting, testing, developing and monitoring

Education and Qualifications
- Currently working towards an IT or engineering degree
- Knowledge of common programming languages including Classic ASP and JSP
- Proficiency in Classic ASP, Java, JSP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and XHTML
- Good database knowledge especially Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access
