Talent Management Sales Consultant

Position Summary
Sales Consultants are responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships and supporting sales channel partners’ sales efforts. Sales Consultants also interact closely with Consultants on TalentKeepers’ Client Services team supporting post-sales communication between customers and the Client Services team.
Sales Consultants will be expected to engage in a consultative selling process with prospective clients by uncovering and understanding client needs while matching those needs to TalentKeepers solutions. Using strong presentation skills both live, via web meetings and telephone, Sales Consultants will suggest strategies and programs/products to meet a client’s needs within the framework of all of TalentKeepers products and tools. Sales Consultants are responsible for developing and maintaining dynamic relationships with key leaders and buyers within client and prospective client organizations. Sales Consultants will clearly document and communicate account progress and key client information within TalentKeepers CRM system organization.
Sales Consultants will be responsible for developing new business with prospective clients through three methods:
- Responding to client inquiries generated by TalentKeepers marketing effortsDirectly contacting key personnel in targeted accounts
- Supporting sales personnel in TalentKeepers sales channel partner organizations
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong proficiency in TalentKeepers products and tools.
- Develop an understanding of the buying behaviors of TalentKeepers target markets.
- Analyze leads for opportunities to sell TalentKeepers products.

Conduct effective sales discovery sessions.
- Connect with clients over the telephone using on-line presentation tools and professional presentation skills.
- Conduct presentations to clients on-site at their locations as well as at meetings and events.

Build and maintain dynamic client relationships.
- Conduct regular calls and meetings with both prospective and existing clients.
- Support Client Services in client discovery meetings
- Maintain accurate information of all client communications and activities in TalentKeepers’ CRM.

Prepare and deliver timely and effective proposals.
- Make a clear written connection between the client need and TalentKeepers solution.
- Determine, with client data, a clear Return On Investment.

Contract with clients
- Provide clear contract requirements to the client
- Communicate the terms of the contract both in writing and in conversation with the client
- Communicate the terms of the contract with TalentKeepers accounting department.
- Ensure adherence to the terms of the contract.
- Continue post-sales follow up and support for on-going business.
- Work with marketing to determine effectiveness of various marketing campaigns.
- Perform other duties as required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience selling to the “C” level.
- Demonstrated success in “big-ticket” sales ($100,000+).
- 4 years of success in a business-to-business sales position selling intangibles.
- Ability to manage through an extended sales cycle (3 to 6 months).
- Account analysis skills.
- Presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience selling enterprise software solutions.
- Experience selling human resource support tools.
- Experience in managing client interactions through a sales contact management system.
- Interaction with/understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Technical Skills
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required
Experience MS CRM preferred
Experience with web meeting software
Education Requirements
Bachelor degree required.
Masters degree preferred in Industrial/Organizational Psychology preferred.
Travel Requirements
Sales Consultant travel could be as high as 40% in order to support rapid growth in the business.
